- Upgrading Ample Notice from Version 2 to Version 3
-
- If you have been previously using Ample Notice 2.00 - 2.04, you'll
- be able to use the new version without too much fuss. Rather than
- running the installation program ANSETUP, we recommend simply
- copying a few files manually. The files you'll want are AN.EXE,
- AN.HLP and ALARM.COM. In addition, you can copy the documentation
- files (*.DOC) if you want a copy on your hard drive or working
- disk. Assuming that your old Ample Notices files are in C:\AN2
- and that the new disk is in drive A, enter
-
- COPY A:AN.EXE C:\AN2
- COPY A:AN.HLP C:\AN2
- COPY A:ALARM.COM C:\AN2
-
- The syntax for CONFIG.CAL file has changed to make the file more
- readable, but version 2 syntax is still recognized. As you modify
- options or add new ones in CONFIG.CAL, please consult Section 8 of
- the manual to use the new syntax.
-
- Your old NOTES file should work fine with no changes.
-
- ------------------------------------------------------------------
-
- As always, the complete manual for Ample Notice is included on
- disk. If you are a registered user of a previous version you can
- obtain the new manual for $5 ($7 foreign). If you are not a
- registered user we encourage you to support Shareware; see Section
- 11 of the manual or enter AN -I for details.
